Throwing in Pairs
Throwing in Pairs: Participants stand 10m apart. One disc for each pair. Start with picture facing up, tight grip on disc and snap wrist to make disc spin.
- Initial setup. Participants stand 10m apart. One disc for each pair. Start with picture facing up, tight grip on disc and snap wrist to make disc spin.
- Free throwing with minimal instruction.
- Stop throwing to give instruction as follows: Backhand: 1 - Turn sideways with strong shoulder facing receiver. This allows extension of arm towards receiver, thus longer throw. 2 - Keep disc as flat as possible. Will curve towards lower edge - either left or right. 3 - Finish pointing at a target on receivers body (logo, nose).
- Forehand: 1 - Face receiver to open body to target, allowing extension of arm towards receiver. 2 - Emphasis on wrist snap, not arm swing. 3 - Instinct will be to have hand high (almost shoulder level). Instead, position hand below elbow with disc almost pointed at ground.
