Chevron Brick Play
Chevron Brick Play: A handler, 1, starts with the disc in the middle of the width of the field. A reset handler, 2, starts at the front of the stack…
- Initial setup. A handler, 1, starts with the disc in the middle of the width of the field. A reset handler, 2, starts at the front of the stack, approximately 5-8m directly downfield from 1. The rest of the cutters line up in the stack, with a cutter, 3, at the back, no more than 12m from 1.
- Cutter 3 from the back of the stack cuts underneath on the open side; this cut is a fake. The handler does a big pump fake, attempting to move their marker over to the open side to make the around break easier. See related drill: https://www.flikulti.com/drills/open-to-away/
- The thrower then steps to the other side and throws out to the break side; the player at the front of the stack 2 runs laterally and receives the disc on the break side. Meanwhile, the cutter 3 turns to cut away. See related drill: https://www.flikulti.com/drills/around-throw-to-lateral-cut/
- 2 throws away to 3; by moving the disc to the break side first, it makes it very difficult for the marker chasing B to prevent the away throw. See related drill: https://www.flikulti.com/drills/diagonal-away-throw-to-straight-cut/
