- Initial setup. Mark the corners of a square, 7-10m a side. 1 starts at bottom left, 3 at bottom right, 2 at top right. Top left is empty.
- 2 runs towards empty corner. 1 throws towards empty cone for 2 to catch. 2 catches close to cone and pivots in order to be ready to throw to 3.
- Progression - Receiver must move in a different direction before moving to cone. This is called making a cut. Initial cut can be away from square.
- Or into middle of square.
- Defender variant. Encourage defenders to stay close to receiver and receivers to turn - "Cut" - as sharply as possible. After a round of each receiver cutting and throwing, swap receiver and defender rolls.
