- Initial setup. A handler, 1, starts with the disc in the middle of the width of the field, marked by D1. A cutter, 2, starts 3-5m downfield of 1 and 3-5m towards the open side. Optionally, they can be guarded by a defender, D2.
- 2 cuts towards the open side; 1 fakes at this cut. Note that if you choose to defend the cutter, D2 will need to position themselves according to your defensive strategy. See related drill: https://www.flikulti.com/theory/defence/strategy/establishing-defensive-priorities/
- 2 then turns off their outside foot and cuts laterally across the field; in this example, they would cut off their right foot to cut to the left.
- Scenario 1 - 1 then throws against the mark via inside or around channel. See related drills: https://www.flikulti.com/drills/inside-throw-to-lateral-cut/ https://www.flikulti.com/drills/around-throw-to-lateral-cut/
- Scenario 2 - 2 cuts away for the throw from 1. See related drill: https://www.flikulti.com/drills/diagonal-away-throw-to-straight-cut/
