- Initial setup. Start with two offensive handlers, 1 and 2, and an offensive cutter, 3, lined up on the endzone line. Three defenders – D1, D2 and D3 – should line up opposite them level with the halfway line.
- The defence initiate the drill by throwing a pull.
- 1 moves into position directly downfield from the catcher, 2. Note that any player could catch the pull, but it’s generally a good idea to nominate a player to catch the pull before the pull goes up. 3 moves downfield into a good cutting position. All defenders chase the pull.
- D3 guards 3 who moves further downfield into a good cutting position. 1 gets into position.

- 3 moves towards the side where the disc has been thrown, setting up multiple cutting options. 3 can begin to move as soon as the throw is made, rather than waiting for the disc to be caught. See related drill: https://www.flikulti.com/drills/up-under/
