- Initial setup. All participants form two lines opposite each other. In these lines, participants stand behind each other, being sure to give the person at the front of the line room to pivot and throw. The participant at the front of line 1 is the first thrower. The front of line 2 is the first receiver. A defender D1 applies a straight up force to 1.

- After throwing, 1 becomes the defender against 2 and D1 joins the back of the line. If 1's throw was successful, they are safe and will continue in the game after being the defender. If their throw was unsuccessful, 1 is in the hot seat! 1 must now try pressure 2 into an unsuccessful pass. If 2's pass is unsuccessful, 1 is safe and will continue in the game but 2 is now in the hot seat. If 2's pass is successful then 1 is eliminated.
