- Initial setup. Two lines of cones are laid out, roughly 5m away from each other. Within the lines, the cones are also roughly 5m apart. The thrower, 1, marked by D1 sets up in line with one line of cones. These cones represent the open side. The attacker, 2, and defender, D2, start at the first cone of the other line.
- 2 begins with a side step to the middle cone. D2 aims to mirror their movement while also thinking about their buffering and defensive priorities (open side under).
- At the middle cone, 2 turns and runs to the top cone. D2 continues to mirror 2's run while trying to keep their hips facing towards 2.
- At the top cone, 2 makes an undercut to the middle cone on the opposite side. D2 should ideally be in a good buffered position to cover the cut successfully. 1 should throw the disc ONLY if D2 has been beaten under and there is an opportunity to throw it.
